What’s your role at Pacific Point?
My role at Pacific Point is Project Manager and Salesforce Business Analyst. In my role as business analyst I work with our clients to define their future state business requirements and then collaborate with my colleagues to define technical solutions. We all work together to find ways to streamline and improve processes through technology. In my role as Project Manager I partner with our clients to define the project schedule and communication plan. It’s my job to make sure the project stays on track, that all deliverables are met and that all parties get the communication they need to understand their role in the project so that the project is a success.
What was your favorite project you’ve worked on during your time at Pacific Point?
One of my favorite projects was working with a large state agency on a Salesforce solution. Their existing processes and data storage was paper based. This meant that researching issues often required digging through piles of paper and there were multiple paper forms that had to be completed to get things done. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process for the staff. With the implementation of Salesforce, the need for paper was virtually eliminated! Now staff are able to log into Salesforce to complete forms, and quickly find data to research past issues. In addition, no longer using so much paper is a win for planet earth!
What has been your most memorable moment at Pacific Point?
My most memorable moment at Pacific Point was my first day in the office meeting the rest of the team. Everyone was so welcoming and willing to share their experience and knowledge. I knew I was lucky to find such a great group of people to work with.
What certifications do you have and can you share any tips?
I have certifications as a Project Management Professional, SCRUM Master, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Salesforce Administrator. My advice for anyone working towards a certification is to be patient with yourself and focus on learning how everything fits together and why. Once you learn the fundamentals the details come easily.
