What’s your role at Pacific Point?
Solution Architect – I am responsible for overall solution design and direction. I work with clients to understand their unique needs and I help select the tools and methods used to build out the client’s solution using Salesforce. Then, I lead the dev team to actually get the work done.
What was your favorite project you’ve worked on during your time at Pacific Point?
I worked with a non-profit healthcare service provider to build a system to manage in-home health care visits between a provider and a patient. Field Service is an inherently complex problem to solve – and it can be difficult to manage all of the variables. Luckily, we were able to take advantage of Salesforce Field Service Lightning to efficiently and correctly get the right providers to the right patients at the right time.
What has been your most memorable moment at Pacific Point?
I live in Denver, so it’s always memorable when I get a chance to fly out and meet clients or work with the Pacific Point team in Hawaii. It’s great to actually see the clients and team members that I spend so much time with on the phone. Also, we don’t have many dolphins in Denver. The huge pod of dolphins that followed our Catamaran at the Pacific Point holiday party was pretty special. 🐬🐬🐬
What Salesforce certifications do you have and what tips can you share?
I have several certifications: Salesforce Certified Field Service Lightning Consultant, Salesforce Certified Community Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, and Salesforce Certified Administrator. Gaining a Certification is a great way to get up to speed on a part of Salesforce, but it’s nothing compared to real-world experience with the product.
